Because I have worked as both a college admission representative and as a college counselor in a high school setting, I am keenly aware of the demands placed on school staff and its effect on the quantity and the quality of their time with each student. I handle the timeline, reminders, and the tough parts of the search and decision process, allowing parents the opportunity to more fully enjoy this experience with their student.

My direction and recommendation will advance the opportunities for a student to realize the most appropriate higher education options and to locate all prospective resources for affording a collegiate education.

With counselor to student ratios on the rise at most high schools, it is increasingly difficult for counselors to sustain their awareness of current trends in college counseling or to provide the substantial individual assistance that is crucial to a family effectively navigating the college search and selection process. I am able to offer one-on-one, all-inclusive guidance and support, tailored to the specific needs of each student and his/her family.

AVAILABILITY

As an independent college consultant, I have a flexible schedule and am able to meet with students and their families during evening and weekend hours, outside of school, extra-curricular, and family responsibilities. My time is dedicated solely to the needs of my client families, not to other duties that often take precedence over counseling students in a school setting.

Because I have the time to personalize the process for each student, I am able to supply the indispensable tools critical to teens making an informed decision about the future. My philosophy on education mandates that each student take responsibility in completing the requisite documents, fostering a sense of ownership of the outcome, and refining critical decision making skills that will ensure success in others aspects of the student’s life.
