NOVEMBER 2011 - PARKVILLE AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

Steph Hart of Essential Elements: Comprehensive College Planning has been selected as a member of the Board of Directors for the Parkville Area Chamber of Commerce and beginning in January, will serve as the Chair of the Communications Committee.

OCTOBER 2011 - COLLEGE PLANNING EXPERT ON UNIGO.COM

 Essential Elements: Comprehensive College Planning has been selected as an expert to offer college planning advice on a nationally recognized website, Unigo. She will begin as a contributing writing in November. 

SEPTEMBER 2011 - RIBBON CUTTING CELEBRATION FOR NEW OFFICE

Steph Hart of Essential Elements: Comprehensive College Planning and Jason & Kathy Ayers of Wisdom 4 Life Coaching will celebrate new office locations with a special ribbon cutting ceremony with both the Northland Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Parkville Area Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, September 8 from 5pm to 7pm. 

AUGUST 2011 - CITY OF RIVERSIDE COLLEGE PLANNING SERIES

Essential Elements: Comprehensive College Planning has been contracted by the City of Riverside to offer a six- part college planning series for the residents of that community. Meredith Hauck, Director of Communication for theCity of Riverside, has worked with Steph on a promotional calendar via social media, as well as blog opportunities to be posted prior to and following each workshop session.  Click here for details.

AUGUST 2011 - UPDATE ON NEW OFFICE

Essential Elements: Comprehensive College Planning has moved! Steph is still getting settled, but the space is coming together and she is excited to welcome client families.   
Office hours remain by appointment only.

JULY 2011 - NEW OFFICE LOCATION

Essential Elements: Comprehensive College Planning is moving! The new office location is on Main Street inDowntown Parkville. The move will be official later this month. At this time, office hours will remain by appointment only.

JUNE 2011 - eteenkc LAUNCHES

Steph has created an online resource for Kansas City area teens and their parents. eteenkc was developed as a result of the extensive amount of time Steph devotes to searching for age-appropriate opportunities for her clients, specifically educational, service-oriented, internships and jobs, etc. Phase one of the website officially launched on June 1. MAY 2011 - HEARTLAND CHURCH OF CHRIST GRADUATION BANQUET

Steph has been invited to present a speech that will "celebrate, prepare, and inspire" high schools seniors and their families at the Heartland Church of Christ graduation banquet on May 15. This is a new opportunity for Essential Elements: Comprehensive College Planning, but one that is welcomed and is sure to be enjoyed. 

APRIL 2011 - MAKING CENT$ IN THE CITY WORKSHOP

For the second year, Steph will partner with Sue Tarkka of Merrill Lynch to offer a college planning presentation to the parents of girls attending the "Making Cents$in the City" workshop co-hosted by the Women's Foundation of Greater Kansas City and the Girl Scouts of NE Kansas & NW Missouri. APRIL 2011 - YOUTH LEADERSHIP NORTHLAND ETHICS & GRADUATION

Steph will again partner with Meredith Hauck, Director of Communication for the City of Riverside and Chair of the 2011 Youth Leadership Northland program, to present a session on business ethics during the last day of the four-month leadership program for high school juniors. This will be the second year the two present together after participating in a similar Statewide program for high school students, serving as table coaches and discussion facilitators, the previous year. 

That same day, Steph will attend the students' graduation ceremony during the Northland Regional Chamber of Commerce monthly luncheon, as Essential Elements: Comprehensive College Planning will be recognized for sponsorship of 2011 Youth Leadership Northland

APRIL 2011 - PINERIDGE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH

Steph was an invited guest speaker on two Sunday afternoons in April (10 & 17), once speaking to a group ofPineridge parents, then to a group of Pineridge TAG (high school youth group) students. 

Speaking engagements like this are a welcomed opportunity to meet with students and parents who, while attending fantastic high schools, still miss out on valuable information about the college planning process and have many unanswered questions about their college search.

MARCH 2011 - MARCH MADNESS SPECIAL

For all signed contracts between now and April 4, the evening of the championship game, a 10% discount will be applied to all college planning packages for juniors.*

FEBRUARY 2011 - NRCC YOUTH LEADERSHIP NORTHLAND DISCOUNT


This four-month training is for two high school juniors from each of the thirteen Northland high schools, exposing students to multiple leadership styles, history and future planning of the Northland, an insider's view of the educational, health, and governmental systems in our community, and an opportunity to challenge their own leadership skills as they prepare for college and a professional career.

A 10% discount is offered to all YLN participants upon contract for the college planning package for juniors. This offer is valid through July 31.

FEBRUARY 2011 - SAVE THE DATE

JANUARY 2011 - VISION NORTH

Steph has been invited to participate in Vision North, a group of Northlanders who will be gathering regularly over the next eight months to "assess our community, focusing on social, economic, and health issues." The project, coordinated through the Northland Community Foundation, "will provide data for our local governments and civic leaders to make decisions that will shape the neighborhoods where we live."
